Move in March - Suffolk Walking Challenge
Get yourself moving this month with our NEW Move in March walking challenge. Join us and Suffolk County Council in walking at least 3,000 steps each day in March.
This walking challenge begins on 1st March 2026, but you can sign up for free now. Suffolk County Council residents are also eligible to win prizes throughout the challenge.
Whether you live in Suffolk, or are a little further afield, anyone can join the challenge. Walking 3,000 steps a day is just over 20 minutes per day, helping you achieve the NHS weekly exercise recommendation of 150 minutes each week. By taking part you’ll enjoy the physical and mental benefits of spending time outdoors. Plus you’re also helping reduce problems such as carbon emissions and traffic congestion in your local area.
Need some walking inspiration? Take a look at our walks in Suffolk to get you going. If you need to find free walks near you, you can also try the Go Jauntly green routes feature. Find a circular walk wherever you are, or find the greenest, most tranquil walk from A to B.
