Step into 2022 with the first Steps Challenge

Go Jauntly and the Safer Greener Healthier team at Essex County Council are proud to announce the launch of the very first steps challenge on the Go Jauntly app. Join us in walking at least 3000 steps a day for six weeks and help kick start your wellbeing this winter.

This walking challenge is all part of Essex County Council’s ambition for Essex to become safer, greener and healthier by making it easier and safer for residents to walk or cycle, reducing traffic congestion, cutting air pollution and improving residents’ physical and mental wellbeing.

3000 steps can be walked in 40 mins or less and every step counts towards your total – even dancing around your living room!

Is there a better time of the year to try and make new habits of a lifetime? It doesn't matter where you live, you can join in with us! From gardening, household tasks and walking to the bus stop - all steps count!

Sign-up anytime over the six weeks and do your best to step to it each week!

Win Prizes

Essex-based participants are eligible to win a steps tracker/ activity watch or new pair of footwear. Bonus participation prizes, such as a free Go Jauntly annual premium subscription will also be available each week. (Terms & Conditions apply, see below).
