Discover Naturehood: Walks & Challenge to Explore Nature on Your Doorstep

Nature is closer than you think. Even in the heart of our busiest cities, you’ll find wild neighbours waiting to be discovered – from trees and birds to bugs, flowers and hidden green spaces. That’s the idea behind Naturehood, a new project from the National Trust and Go Jauntly, designed to help people explore, play, and connect with the natural world right outside their front door.

What is Naturehood?

Naturehood is a series of digital guided walks and challenges, available on the free Go Jauntly app. It’s designed to make exploring urban nature simple, fun, and accessible for everyone – whether you’re a family, a curious walker, or just young at heart.

There are two main ways to get involved:

🌱 The Naturehood challenge – a fun, family-friendly activity trail with 25 activities you can complete anytime, anywhere. From spotting stars to making a flower crown, you’ll earn badges while discovering the big characters of nature right on your doorstep.

🚶 Naturehood walks – three specially curated routes in London, Birmingham, and Manchester. Each one blends history, heritage, and green spaces with fun facts and audio prompts. These step-free routes are designed to spark curiosity and give you a new way to see the city.
