36 New Walking Routes to Enjoy on the Elizabeth Line

 
 

We’ve launched new jaunts starting from Elizabeth Line station, so you don’t need to use your car to explore further afield. Each walk is an exploration of the local area, with lots of cool hidden gems just waiting to be explored. 

Reading Station

The Walk: The Scenic Route From Reading - Discover lush parks, spectacular riverside and canalside greenways, town history, and more on this spectacular walk. 

Twyford Station 

The Walk. Adventuring in Twyford Trail - A lovely and varied shorter walk round Twyford village, with parkland, nature reserves, countryside scenery, and more.

Burnham Station

The Walk: Village Greenways Jaunt -  Hop from park to park on this lovely jaunt round the village of Burnham. A perfect dog friendly walk and filled with lots of green space.

Slough Station 

The Walk: Green Circle Walk in Slough - Follow along on this walk round Slough, taking the long way from the station to the town centre. Along the way, discover lovely parks and paths.

Langley Station 

The walk: Langley to Iver Canal Stroll - A nice and quick walk along the canal between Langley and Iver stations. A gorgeous jaunt. 

 
 

Iver Station 

The Walk: The Quiet Way to Iver Village - Take the quiet route from Iver Station to Iver Village. This green route takes you along the canal and across lovely field paths.

West Drayton Station 

The Walk: West Drayton to Stockley Park - Start or end your commute the right way, with a walk! A straightforward walk along the Grand Union Canal to Stockley Park. 

Hayes Station

West Ealing Station

The Walk: Riverside & Green West Ealing Walk - West Ealing has a stunning amount of parks and green spaces. Head north from the station on this step-free route to explore along the River Brent. 

Ealing Broadway Station

The Walk: Tfl20 Exploring Ealing - A short, green circular jaunt from Ealing Broadway station. Passing Ealing Green and Ealing Common en-route.

Acton Mainline Station

The Walk: Tour Acton Town & Park - Acton Park is incredibly lovely! Discover hidden spots and paths on this varied and interesting walk from Acton Main Line to the town centre.

Paddington Station 

The Walk: Paddington to Fitzrovia - Enjoy this quiet route from Paddington Station to Fitzrovia. Pass by independent coffee shops, Norfolk Square and the beautiful gardens of St. John’s Church. Plus look out for a blue plaque or two to learn more about the history of the area.

Bond Street Station 

The Walk: Mooching in Mayfair - Enjoy a lunchtime loop or walking meeting, avoid the crowds, grab your dose of the outdoors and enjoy the tranquility of local green space.

Tottenham Court Road Station

The Walk: Phoenix in the Sun  - Stop off at the Phoenix Garden in the West End, stretch your legs along the quiet and greenest routes for a dose of wellbeing and delight. 

Farringdon Station 

The Walk: TfL20 Farringdon Circular - A nice, easy nature-filled jaunt around the historic streets of Clerkenwell. Lovely hidden gems en-route. 

Liverpool Street Station

The Walk: Moments of Joy in Liverpool Street  - Revel in the delights of Liverpool Street and Shoreditch on this circular walk from the station. Notice hidden gems, lush nature & eclectic street art.

Whitechapel Station

The Walk: Whitechapel Wandering to City Farm - A circular family-friendly walk around Whitechapel and Stepney Green. Packed full of history, fun and so much more.

Canary Wharf Station

The Walk: TfL20 Canary Wharf Wander - A 20 minute jaunt around Jubilee Place in Canary Wharf. Catch the views, look out for waterfowl wildlife and find a tranquil spot to sit. 

 
 

Custom House Station 

The Walk: Tour Royal Victoria Dock & Bridge - A short but sweet circular stroll from Custom House station.  Really great views, refreshments & art en route. Step free option available.

Woolwich Station

The Walk: Capital Ring Section 1 -  Start your journey walking through London’s greenest suburbs. Begin at Woolwich Station and take a walk through Charlton Park, the ancient Oxleas Wood and catch a glimpse of Severndroog Castle.

Abbey Wood Station

The Walk: Thamesmead and Lesnes Abbey - Explore the many green spaces of Thamesmead. The highlight of this walk has got to be wandering among the historic ruins of Lesnes Abbey.

Stratford Station

The Walk: Chadwell Heath Circular- A circular walk from Chadwell Heath passing Valence House Museum and park, Parsloes Park and Goodmayes Park.

Romford Station 

The Walk: The Stunning Romford Circular Walk - A lush circular jaunt from Romford Station following the Rivers Rom and Beam through The Chase Nature Reserve and Eastbrookend Country Park.

Gidea Park Station

Harold Wood Station
