Google Health with Go Jauntly
Here is a comprehensive guide to connecting Google Health with the Go Jauntly app.
Getting started
Google Health is Google's activity and wellness app — it's the redesigned, rebranded successor to the Fitbit app, which Google renamed starting May 2026. It keeps the same core tracking (steps, sleep, heart rate, workouts) that Fitbit users are used to, so existing Fitbit devices and data carry over automatically.
Go Jauntly doesn't connect to Google Health directly. Instead, Google Health shares data through your phone's own health platform:
Health Connect on Android
Apple Health on iOS (Coming later in 2026)
That means the first step happens inside the Google Health app itself, not inside Go Jauntly.
Android: connecting Google Health to Health Connect
Google Health can both read from and write to Health Connect, so once it's connected, your Google Health data (and data from any other app you've linked to Google Health) becomes available to Go Jauntly through Health Connect as normal.
To connect Google Health to Health Connect:
Open the Google Health app.
At the top left, tap Connections > Partner apps.
Under "Add connections," tap Sync your favourite health apps > Set up.
Review the on-screen information and tap Accept.
Choose the data you'd like to sync and tap Continue.
Allow the fitness and wellness data categories you're happy to share - we recommend at least Steps and Distance to cover most Go Jauntly challenges.
When asked about additional access, choose whether to share historic data and background data, then tap Allow.
Once that's done, follow our existing Health Connect guide to connect Go Jauntly to Health Connect, if you haven't already. Go Jauntly will then pick up your Google Health data the same way it does for any other Health Connect app.

iOS: connecting Google Health to Apple Health (Coming later in 2026)
You can connect Google Health to Apple Health in the same way, and it's worth doing so your Apple Watch and other iOS health data show up inside Google Health.
A quick heads up: Currently this connection currently only works one way - Google Health can read your Apple Health data, but it doesn't write anything back to Apple Health. That means Go Jauntly, which reads activity data from Apple Health, won't currently see anything that comes from Google Health specifically. If you're on iOS, there are third party apps available to sync Fitbit / Google Health data to Apple Health in the meantime.
Once Google Health adds support for writing data to Apple Health, you can connect with these steps:
Open the Google Health app.
At the top left, tap Connections > Apps and services.
Under "Add connections," tap Apple Health > Get started.
On the consent screen, tap Agree.
Follow the prompts to allow access to the data categories you're happy to share, then tap Allow.
